MANCHESTER — The New Hampshire Real Estate Investors Association (NHREIA), in association with local real estate expert, Ben Gamache and son, Justin, is announcing the May 2012 NHREIA monthly meeting for real estate investors will take place on Wednesday, May 9, from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm at the Best Western Executive Court, 13500 South Willow Street, Manchester. This event is free for NHREIA members and $20 for not-yet-members.

Ben Gamache is the sole proprietor of Gamache Enterprises, a real estate investment firm that deals with the acquisition, development and management of commercial properties in the Manchester area. Attendees of this meeting will learn how Ben acquired his first building from a local fireman, using practically no cash and had to wait four months until his 18th birthday, before he was allowed to move forward on the deal! Then, he'll share how he grew the business using a buy-fix-flip then re-invest strategy and in the ten-year period from 1980 to 1990, amassing a staggering 1800 apartment units.

Ben will then describe his work in the early 1990's when he chose to sell out of the bulk of his residential holdings and move into the commercial arena. Today, he owns in excess of 1,000,000sf of mill-building, retail and office space, a good percentage of which involved historic preservation, which is one of Ben's passions.
